XV3RRC is now in history with result of 10 543 QSOs. Log search is available! Last night, we had a good opening on 160m with a lot of EUs & JAs.
We appreciated your calls and words of thanks for this expedition!
Now, the way back home is in front of us.

AS-157 last day

Hello All,

Just last day of our activity from AS-157 has started. Up to now, there are 8900 QSOs from Hon Tam Island in our log. But pile-ups are still veeeery huge! :) We’ve never thought, that Vietnam might be so rare DXCC! :)
Yesterday night, we tried to appear on 160m. Unfortunately the band was veeeery noisy this night (also the same on 80m!), we tried to install the short beverage (~150m) directed to EU, BUT the Hotels’ lighting give just the pure “white” noise on any RX antennas we tried to use! :( No ways to switch it off… :(
So, we will try to RX on the TX Vertical this night also. Congratulations to Top Banders, who worked us on 160m!
Up to now, we’ve had the following antennas: separate 3 VDAs on 15/17/20 m, BiggIR for 10/12/30/40 m and Vertical for 80/160 m.
VDAs will be disassembled in the evening, when these bands become dead.

AS-157 first impression

Hello All!
AS-157 – Hon Tam Island is in the air! BiggIR Vertical (40-10m bands), 3 VDAs on 20m, 18m Vertical for 80m (radials are in the mess because of sea :) ) are our antennas for now. Had some activity on 80m. Very strong signals from JAs, and veeery week from EUs. Will try to install the RX antennas for Low Bands and use the vertical on 160m.
Log search is available.
Team is in a good mood but was very tired after a lot of work first day (+300 km of transfer), thats why not so many night activity.

AS-162 some results…

Hello All!
AS-162 – Cu Lao Cham activity gives us the result in 2149 QSOs on 80-40-30-20-17m bands for 17 hours in the field conditions. Ugly hot, local specific :) and a lot of unforgetable experience :)
Log search is available. Hope, tomorrow to start operation from AS-157 Hon Tam Island.

The Amateur Radio Expedition to the rarest IOTA references in Vietnam is the project of the longtime friends: Russian Robinson Club and R-Quad Antenna Company.

We will try to do our best to log as many IOTA enthusiasts all over the world as the propagation and other local conditions permit.

The trip is going to be very dynamic from 24th of Sept to 02nd of Oct, so, we kindly ask You to follow the latest news about our activity on this website. If we manage to arrange the Internet connection, we’ll try to update our Log daily.
